Chiang Mai Hohd Morning Market
http://www.hotsia.com > Chiang Mai > Hohd Morning Market I traveled from Mae Chaem, stopped to visit Thepnorn Hot Springs, then drove along the route to Mae Sariang junction and turned left towards Hohd District, Chiang Mai Province. Hohd District or the old town of Hohd was originally located several dozen kilometers further south, but it was relocated during the construction of the Bhumibol Dam to the current location. Hohd is mostly a transit town with few visitors intending to stop and explore.

In fact, Hohd has many attractions such as Doi Tao Lake, Phra That Doi Koeng, and Pha Wing Choo. Hohd also has an interesting morning market. Today, I will take you to explore Hohd's morning market. The morning market in Hohd is divided into two markets: the hill tribe market next to the Hohd district office, which is very intense and opens at 1 AM. This market is purely for hill tribe people trading various vegetables. I was too tired to wake up and take photos on this trip because I had just returned from Doi Koeng. The other market is the regular morning market.
This market opens brightly and is where locals come to buy food or ingredients for breakfast. This market is just as charming as the 1 AM market because vendors also sit selling goods on the street floor. I walked through the market, drank coffee, and chatted with the friendly Hohd locals while planning my trip. The people of Hohd are lovely, smiling, cheerful, and very friendly. I will definitely return to visit Hohd market again. Mr.Hotsia captured photos and videos with two locals who were very friendly and playful. Missing Hohd already, sitting and drinking coffee with the locals, feeling relaxed.
The weather is not cold in October. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-xWKNi1M5k http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIx-L5rwG9U Sup Anan Fresh Market Behind the market are local houses. Fish from Mae Chaem River. Locals bring fresh vegetables to sell in the morning. This is a trip Mr.Hotsia took to Hohd District and Phra That Doi Koeng Temple.
